3D Conceptual Environment
In Arabic poetry, Ruins (الأطلال) are literary motifs that symbolize remnants of the beloved’s dwelling, where a poet stands to express deep sorrow and nostalgia, conveying emotions of loss and longing. Stillness of Ruins is a contemporary interpretation of this motif, wherein the concept of ruins serves as a metaphorical expression of place and time, as well as lingering emotions, and is empowered by the recurring symbols in my work (the egg, the string of a bow piercing an organ, the feather, and the shell).
